Periodic Facade Inspection (PFI)
Periodic façade inspection (PFI) regime was introduced to enhance the maintenance requirements of building facades for public safety. It is required by law under the Building Control Act (BCA) for owners to conduct periodic façade inspection PFI for buildings that are more than 20 years of age at every 7 years interval.
Our Façade Inspection team is made up of Professional Engineer (PE), Competent Person (CP) who are approved by BCA, Certified Façade Inspectors (FI) as well as qualified Drone Pilots who will be carrying out the façade inspection in accordance with Section 28(6) of the Building Control Act (BCA) and Technical Reference TR 78: 2020 (Drone technical requirement)
Exempted Building:
- Private landed houses
- Temporary buildings
- Buildings less than 13m in height

Procedure
Receive Notification from BCA
You will be informed by BCA that your property is due for a Periodic
Façade Inspection (PFI)
Get a Quote from CP
Engage Façade Express for a Competent Person (CP), who will provide
you a quote for your project.
Provide As-Built Façade Plans
Do you have existing building plans for your project? If not, we can purchase the plans on your behalf at BCA (if available).
Scheduled Inspection with us
After we’ve gathered all the required information, we will schedule a date and time for the PFI to take place, where we will conduct the 100% visual and 10% close-range inspection of the building.
Provide PFI report (endorsed by PE)
We will document all findings, including photographs of any defects or issues and provide recommendations for repair.
Submit Report to Relevant Authorities (BCA)
We will submit and notify you upon receiving approval status from BCA
